Girls of the Year
The Girls of the Year dolls were introduced to the American Girl company in 2001, and six dolls have been offered by the company so far. These include Lindsey (2001-2002), Kailey (2003-2004), Marisol (2005), Jess (2006), Nicki (2007) and Mia (2008). Each doll comes with its own book that tells the doll's story. Nicki and Mia each have two books, while the others each have one book. Like the historical dolls from American Girl, each Girl of the Year is unique, with special talents and interests. They love adventures, they dream big, and they try to make a difference in their families and communities. All the Girls of the Year also have their very own extra outfits and accessories. Since they're the same size as the historical dolls and the Just Like You dolls, you can mix and match items between them all as well!
