Marisol Luna was the third Girl of the Year to be offered by American Girl. Marisol has wavy sandy brown hair, a beautiful dusky skin tone, deep brown eyes that open and close, and a happy smile. Marisol's body is soft cloth, while her head and limbs are made of sturdy vinyl. Her head can turn from side to side, and her arms and legs are posable. Marisol wears purple wraparound blouse over a pink tank top, as well as brown satin cargo pants and purple/brown metallic Mary Jane shoes.You can purchase other special outfits and accessories designed just for Marisol. Since she loves to dance, all of her other outfits have something to do with dancing, such as her shimmery purple jazz top and pants, tap outfit that includes a black leotard and hot pink fringed skirt, and gorgeous sparkling purple tutu! Her accessories include items like her performance trunk, that has everything she needs for going on the road with her dance class members, and her duffel bag full of necessities for every dance class. Marisol also has her own pet, a Siamese cat. Since Marisol was only offered by the American Girl company for a short time, her collection is smaller than most of the company's others. However, she is the same size as American Girl's historical dolls and Just Like You dolls, so you can purchase clothing, accessories, and furniture for Marisol from those collections as well. Both of these collections are quite large and will greatly expand Marisol's wardrobe and playtime possibilities.
